Description Technical Specs
As researchers progress back in time tracing an elusive ancestor, fewer record sources seem to be available. Some sources known to be useful (such as census records) may appear to contain less vital data unless evaluated in different ways. And in some areas totally unique sources may be overlooked if not pointed out in advance by experienced researchers who have spent years using those sources. Karen will demonstrate how to expand your personal research success into the past.

This class was presented to a live webinar (online seminar) audience on February 13, 2013. 1 hour 46 minutes, plus 4 pages of handouts.

  • A wealth of information. I especially appreciated the reminder of the NUCMC, as well as other free sources. I am much more encouraged about finding info about my long-ago ancestors who have been, with notable exceptions, just names and tentative locations. Thank you so much. Karen is great!
  • Absolutely fantastic. Best one yet.
  • Best genealogy presentation I've ever heard! Took 5 pages of notes. Bravo Karen and Geoff!
